Recoleta Craft Fair at Plaza Francia
Known as the Plaza Francia fair, it actually takes place on Plaza Intendente Alvear, in front of the Centro Cultural Recoleta and a short walk from the cemetery. It is one of the city's oldest craft fairs: it started in 1970 and still brings together people selling what they make.

- There is no subway station next to the square: plan the last stretch by bus, taxi or on foot and check the route in a transport app before you set out.

- Pieces made by the stallholders themselves in ceramics, leather, wood, metal and wool, plus a visual arts section.

The fair spreads over several levels of the square; walk the whole of it before deciding what to buy.

Stallholders usually make what they sell. Ask about materials and origin, and whether the piece can be packed safely for your flight.
